Overview of the Internship Program
ZZIOL Intern Program was created with you in mind. ZZIOL is always interested in finding talented people who have the skills needed to meet the future employment needs in country it catered. It also offers interns professional experiences and formal training opportunity developmental on-the-job assignments, research assignments, workshops and seminars, and mentorships that will develop the skills needed for professional success and growth that are tailored to meet their educational and professional goals and interests.
The Internship Program for teachers and to be teacher is offered on a quarterly basis. For each quarter of internship the school requires an equal amount of classroom instruction. Interns will have alternate periods of academic learning on campus with relevant work experience. The practical experience gained on these structured and supervised work terms is an integral part of the students' education. Interns on corporate and other organizations and agencies follows the same programs on a quarterly basis but requires a good academic background on their field of studies.
Interns will work directly with the ZZIOL Team Coordinators and other staff, and are responsible for increasing awareness of and commitment of the ZZIOL’s mission. Interns will work among a broad range of audiences. Internships are paid/ unpaid or maybe done on a volunteer basis. A candidate must be an undergraduate student; a graduate student; or have graduated from college within twelve months at the beginning of the internship. Interns are expected to work between 15-20 hours a week. Internships are offered during the Summer, Fall, and Winter/Spring semesters. Interns may receive academic credit if an agreement is made between agency/ organization and the intern's college or university.
Required Skills:
a. Knowledge of MS Office products, internet navigation and research;
b. Ability to organize Academic/ non academic projects;
c. Demonstrate clear and effective written and verbal communication skills;
d. Ability to meet deadlines and maintain a flexible schedule;
e. Strong diplomatic skills in dealing with people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds;
f. Awareness of and sensitivity to a variety of cultural perspectives;
Primary Responsibilities:
a. Each Intern will be responsible for one or more of the following tasks depending on
their abilities:
b.Managing, through the OFFICE database, current contacts and OTHER RELATED PROJECTS in
country ZZIOL catered.
C. Assisting in the creation of comprehensive new programs and strategies
d. Providing support writing letters of inquiry and TAKING IN FUTURE INTERNS
e. Fostering relationships with businesses and organizations that offer their services and support.
F. Creating, editing, and proofreading official documents and/or correspondences
g. Assisting in collaboration and design of marketing and PROGRAM tools.
The ZZIOL Interns Program gives the participants:
a. A broader perspective on how ZZIOL services the community and the nation as a whole.
B. The opportunity to acquire specific skills that are needed to pursue their professional
goals and aspirations.
c. The opportunity for hands-on work experience in their field of study.
Evaluations and Promotions
Evaluation procedures are important to the ZZIOL Intern Program. They are used to: judge how well the intern understands ZZIOL organization, policies and programs; to gain an impression of the intern’s ability to express themselves; to determine whether the intern’s target position is appropriate; to evaluate the intern’s training and determine its overall effectiveness; and to measure the intern’s performance. The ZZIOL Intern Program utilizes semi annual reporting procedures.
