ZZIOL works with the country program counterpart organizations, to make the program possible and dedicated to promoting cultural awareness through a wide range of travel, language, and training. The exchange program provides the participants a unique opportunity to improve their own language and teaching skills; deepen their understanding of another culture; and share new curriculum, pedagogy, and experiences in the classrooms upon their return. Our goal is to create affordable and exciting cultural exchange programs with an unparalleled level of support. We take great pride in the professionalism and service, and work hard to ensure a rewarding and enriching experience for everyone.
This program is called 'exchange' because originally the goal was an exchange of students/ teachers between different countries. No trade off is actually required, so a student/teacher is allowed to go to another country without finding a counterpart in that country to exchange with. Students/ teacher live in a pre arranged apartment or in the school dormitory . An exchange student/teacher typically stays in the host country for a relatively short period of time.A short term exchange usually takes place during the summer months of July-August. Students do not attend school and are instead given a brief introduction to the language of their host country with heavy emphasis on sightseeing and cultural learning. Upon their return they are expected to give a short presentation on their experience to their sponsors. In addition, ZZIOL organize conferences , workshops and programs to help them form networks and enable to share curriculum and other information for their own classrooms and with their colleagues at their home schools.
